When we moved to Palm Springs, we contacted several companies that did audio / control 4 systems. We got multiple bids. Some were higher than Shawn’s and some were lower. The big difference was Shawn’s willingness to tailor to his bid to what we felt we could afford and what was necessary. No other outfit was willing to discuss and shape their bid to our desires. When it came time for installation – he worked with the structure of our house, which was challenging, and adapted, communicated and macgyvered to the best of his ability. Shawn Sr and Shawn JR did an excellent job installing our new TV, Shawn even picked it up from Costco which made it so convenient for me and my husband. They then moved our old TV to our bedroom, and moved that TV out to the patio (where there had never been a TV) installed new sound bars and fire sticks. They did a flawless job and they did it at a reasonable price. They were neat and very respectful of our home. Super conscientious!
One of the sound bars we ordered was delayed and arrived 2 days after the TV installations…but both Shawn Sr and Shawn Jr were happy to return at no extra cost to see it properly installed.
They also installed 3 eero wifi extenders as our ring doorbell wasn’t working and the wifi was lagging in certain areas of our home. They did a great job. Everything now works beautifully.
I would highly recommend SMG Audio! We will definitely be using them in the future! Thank you Shawn Sr & Shawn Jr! You are a class act!

AMAZING!! Sean Sr. and Sean Jr. installed two tv’s for me and I am so glad I had them do the install. PThey were on time and professional. I know amazing is a big word and they earned it. They did a great job on the install and did it in a timely manner. Very clean job. They answered all my questions, and I had a few. I had one question a couple days later. Sean Sr. answered on the second ring and walked me through what I needed to do.

Shawn did a great uninstall of the worlds largest TV (previous owners had left it) and replaced with out existing tv. He advised replacing both hdmi cables (one was acting up; so do both at the same time). Easy to work with, flexible and informative. Would call him again!

We just moved to the desert and I’ve never done this before, but I decided to visit YELP for recommendations on AV guys. I’ve been a residential real estate agent in both Orange County and the desert communities for over 25 years and have a host of qualified guys, but did not have an AV guy in the desert. We met with my sister’s AV guy, but after meeting Shawn — I felt comfortable giving him the job. Seriously — the only recommendation I had for Shawn was from YELP and we agreed to install four new TV’s. I said — please give us the simplest set-up and he fulfilled our requests. My husband had a couple of questions and he returned on a Saturday AM. Shawn and his son did the majority of the installation in one day …. I can highly recommend both of them!
